People don't cry during performance reviews anymore

“People don’t cry during their performance reviews anymore.”

This is what a mid level leader said after learning key skills in the Leader as Coach Mastery Program (LACMP). I jokingly said that I’d use his statement as a testimonial, but I realize now that it’s actually a great testimonial.

Nobody sets out to make someone cry in a performance review. Yet, it’s happened to many of us. Most leaders I’ve coached are challenged by difficult conversations. Here’s what typically happens:

  • Leaders want to get it over with and just cut to the chase in a way that ends up demoralizing the other person.

  • Leaders are too indirect. They beat around the bush and the other person doesn’t get the message they need to hear. Consequently, the behavior does not get addressed.

Instead, what if you turned challenging performance reviews into an opportunity to inspire and motivate people? Yes, it can happen!

In our LACMP we’ll teach you skills to:

Confidently and effectively address poor performance and dysfunctional dynamics.

  • Skillfully give and receive feedback and support.

  • Navigate emotionally charged conversations productively.

  • Create a culture of learning rather than blaming.

  • Increasing positive communication, improving the overall morale of the employee

Don’t wait. Our next session begins next month!

Major federal agencies and mid-to-large size corporations have been using LACMP to train their leaders for over 17 years. For the first time ever we are offering this award-winning program as a virtual, open-enrollment opportunity to make it more accessible to leaders everywhere. Six days over 3 months: Sep 26-27, Oct 17-18, Nov 14-15.

But here’s the thing. We limit enrollment to keep it highly interactive and specific to you and your goals. So don’t wait. Learn more here and register now!
